Yesterday the cat was like "can into pot cupboard under sink"...so just to play with him I shut him in there. I was only planning on leaving the door closed like 5-10 mins. Then I got distracted and forgot about him for like 3 hours.
Then it was bed time, and I spent an hour looking for him inside and out. Then I heard a thump in the cupboard. My girlfriend was pissed.
I feel a bit bad. Oh well. Poor cat.

Next time put the cat in a pot, on top of the counter. That way, you won't forget, and the cat will still be taught "pots bad". Win-win.

So you are de best?
This should be your anthem then. The title even supports your claim.

Good plan. I can't wait for spring to let the little terrorist outside again. The squirrels will rue the day the warm temperatures come.

I keep my bathroom scale in the linen closet across from the bathroom. When I want to use it, I take it out, bring it into the bathroom, then put it back.
My cat views every open door as an opportunity to explore, so when I went for the scale a few weeks ago, she climbed into the closet. I put it back, shut the door, went about my business. A few hours later, I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I realized I hadn't seen the cat in a while, and started looking. When I walked past the closet I heard a 'mew', and let her out.
She spent the better part of 8 hours trapped in a linen closet.

You're probably lucky she didn't relieve herself on one of the linens.
Cats always have to get into enclosed spaces, it's weird.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised she didn't.
